BATH BMX MEMBERSHIP

"we/i are not about making money, it's the running costs of the gate equipment and also some [small scale] maintenance, just weed killing costs money!, i wish it could all be free and we could be riding the bike of our choice on a perfect track.....BUT.....we all live in the real world don't we ?!!!?"..the council can only do so much...........WE have to do the rest! if the track is to remain rideable.
being a public access track makes our track "set up" a bit different and harder from many, you pay to use private tracks' that would otherwise be closed even if you don't want to do gates and just ride. private tracks open maybe twice a week, if the weather is good. BATH is open 365 days' a year, rain or shine!!
MOST ARE INVOLVED IN BMX BECAUSE THEY LOVE IT.....THE PEOPLE, THE BIKES, THE DIRT, THE SUN, THE RAIN........JUST LIKE US. sn. x .

GATE DATES > weather permitting and "IF" there is help ?!!
£1 a session for non-members, no helmet = no gate,ok.
August>friday 29th 6-8pm.
September>,sunday 7th 2-4pm, tuesday 16th 6pm,friday 19th 6pm
[saturday 20th + sunday 21st "TRACK CLOSED" MAINTENACE]
help needed for maintenace, bring a barrow, shovel, brush....please!
FRIDAY 26TH PM GATES, SATURDAY 27TH 2PM GATES, SWEEP [+B B Q ?] "SUNDAY 28th........WE RACE" closed to public use, RACE DAY HELP WILL BE REQUIRED. GATES OPEN 7.30 AM
i will keep you all updated the best i can on all these dates and times,
BUT, HELP IS NEEDED FOR "ALL" OF THE ABOVE, IF YOU WANT GATES AND A USABLE TRACK . OK.?!?! if you can help on certain days let me know,trackside parking for helpers that meet at carpark gate on time stated "NO HELP = NO GATES!!"

FOR THE TRAVELLING, THERE IS A CAMPSITE 5 MINS FROM TRACK,IN A REALLY NICE SETTING, even though it's in twerton!!![where i live!!!]

THE COUNCIL CHANGING ROOMS GOT BROKEN INTO EARLY MAY AND "OUR" START GATE EQUIPMENT WAS STOLEN. PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE EQUIPMENT, CONTACT ME. I GOT THE TRACK REBUILT FOR EVERYONE IN ODD DOWN, BATH, AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS TO ENJOY, A GREAT SPORT AND FACILITY......"for some, that aint' enough, i guess"?!

"BATH BMX" IS NOW AFFILLIATED TO BRITSH CYCLING AS A CLUB!!!!! and i do have some free bc memberships' available.
this covers the public liability insurance issues.
TO RACE REGIONAL OR NATIONAL YOU NEED TO HAVE BRITISH CYCLING MEMBERSHIP, TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP TO B.C, YOU NEED TO BE A CLUB MEMBER FIRST,[i think that is right, loads of stuff to work through!!?]
BCF membership and racing licences.
Your licence must be produced by the first regional event and is needed for entry to Nationals. There are many benefits to becoming a BCF member.
Bronze Memberships gives you entitlement to some racing events.
Silver Membership gives you entitlement to all racing events and members could benefit from £5,000,000 Third Party liability insurance plus access to free legal advice and support for any incidents occurring whilst riding your bike.
Gold Membership gets all the above benefits plus Personal accident insurance, up to £50,000 for permanent disability and £7,500 in death cover for accidents occurring whilst riding your bike. You will also receive a quarterly race calendar.
